Introducing the whirlwinds that are Poe, Spectre, Spirit and Banshee. These 4 little handfuls came into the rescue after their mama was found pregnant and abandoned but they are now almost ready to go to their forever homes.

Like with most litters, we have paired them up so they will have a friend when moving on to their new surroundings.

Banshee and Spirit - Banshee is a vocal and happy girl who is incredible smart and headstrong. She is the first to suss out any new toy and can proudly say she is the only kitten to conquer the fierce robot hoover that sometimes roams the grounds by climbing on top and riding it into battle. When not thinking up strategic war plans, Banshee will happily come over for fusses and cuddles.

Spirit, well the clue is in the name, what he lacks in size he makes up for in spirit! He enjoys climbing the sofa, scaling our cat trees and tackling the death defying bookcase! When he’s not having the mad half hour and partaking in acrobatics he’s then snuggling up for a snooze with his litter mates.

Poe and Spectre - Poe is a typical gentle giant. He’s the biggest of the litter but also the most shy. Poe is a polite little boy that enjoys the finer things in life, like a full food bowl. His hobbies include daydreaming of a life where he is appreciated for his scholarly intelligence and playing hide and seek where he can hide and no one is seeking him. Poe’s independence let’s him down when it comes to nap time though where he wants nothing more but to sit close, get all cosy and purr his little heart out when receiving fusses.

Spectre, is the most fearless one. He’s unfazed by everything, even going so far as to walk right over the middle of our resident Maine Coon to get to playing! After all, what is a lying down Maine Coon other than another obstacle to tackle? Spectre is a very brave boy and finds no challenge in racing from one end of the house to the other, never minding who or what he might encounter. Whilst modelling would always be an option for Spectre thanks to his penchant for sitting in a variety of unique positions he has said that he would settle for a home where he can find a sunny spot to sleep in and be given lots of different toys for him to play with.

All of the kittens are fully weaned, confidently using the litter trays and enjoy a mixed diet of wet and dry James Welbeloved. They have been living with a mixture of other cats that have not bothered them and would do well in a multi-cat household.

The kittens have also been exposed to children and will be fine going to a family providing they’re cat-savvy.

Whilst they have not had any experience with dogs, at this age it should not be a problem providing that gentle introduction is followed.

They are all booked in for first vaccinations and microchipping in a couple of weeks at our vets in Swadlincote where they will need to return for second vaccinations a few weeks afterwards. All kittens will be rehomed on a neutering contract which will be done at our Swadlincote vets once old enough.
