Meet the gorgeous Smithy!

Smithy was a long term stray boy who we took in as an emergency due to being alerted to him over the period of very cold weather recently, some local residents had made him an insulated box and he was fed there but it was still so cold out, luckily the fantastic cattery who look after some of our cats were happy to take him and he's now been neutered, chipped, and has started his vaccines.

This little chap is just the best love bug you could know; it won’t take long for him to introduce you to his loud purr and head nudges. 

Smithy loves his wet and dry food (he is a ginger after all!) and is not fussy what brand he eats.

He is a very gentle soul, and would love for you to allow him to sit by you (or on your knee) on the sofa so you can watch TV together. Smithy has been an outdoor cat so would probably love to be able to go out for a potter round the garden and a sunbathe but only when the weather gets a bit better because he’s enjoying his nice warm bed too much.

Smithy will definitely want a home where after a couple of months settling in, he can explore ourdoors safely away from busy roads. He is untested with other animals due to being in a cattery environment rather than a foster home, so we are looking for a pet free home or with a friendly, neutered female cat that he could be slowly introduced to. Smithy is in foster in Ibstock
